dminder Description

Comprehensive Vitamin D tracking app. Uses the GPS in your phone to figure out where you are on the planet then computes when you can get D, how much of it you can make, gives you a timer and in the paid version the ability to manage history and have the app estimate your levels on an ongoing basis.

What's new in dminder 2.3.0

Changed the way burn notifications work: they are higher priority now, and will come to foreground and take the user back to the app to either turn over or end the session.

Derek Diaz: Edit: Generally love the app. But needs ability to sync across my android devices. Thanks for the other improvements and explanations regarding functionality (that I deleted from this comment). Looking forward to sync functionality. I have two devices. Mobile phone and Tab Pro Samsung for reading. I purchased the mobile upgrade and would like to share information with my other installed app on my tablet, but currently it is siloed data and that makes the tablet unusable for edits to supplementation taken, which is a pain on the mobile.

Michael Commini: I'm pleased to upgrade my original rating from a two to a four. Customer service has been excellent! The app has worked flawlessly since the last update. The only "issue" I have with it now is that I can't edit or delete supplement information when I enter it erroneously. Otherwise, it's a very good app now the bugs are worked out. UPDATE: I'm now using it on a Samsung Galaxy S7 with no issues noticed so far. And swiping the erroneous data in history reveals a delete button. I'm upgrading to five stars.

Wesley M: Excellent vitamin D level tracker This app is quite accurate and can be relied on to stay on top of your vit-D level. The only thing missing in the PRO version is an option to project vitamin D levels in the upcoming months either textually or plotted on a graph based on the user stats and IU/day numbers entered.

Arvi Chan: Best vit-d management App out there Simple enough to use while in the sun. And gives you daily reports with your current estimated level. I see i ve progressed from my severe deficiency of 5 to around 30 now using the App. Yet to verify with a blood test. Will make it 5 stars if it estimated correctly once I get my test results. For now one issue i see is once the timer has started and I point my note 4 UV sensor to measure the current UV level and if it changes the rate of d production in my skin does not seem to change though UV level drops

Beatrice Gatta: Nice idea, poor execution I really want to like this app, but whenever I open another app the sunbathing session gets canceled. I was looking for a timer you can let go in the background while using other using Other stuff, but that's not the case.

Fera Magicae: Only one problem Guys (developers) - this app is AWESOME and I love using it! However, my supplement log has decided that it is going to record double and I can't fix it. Like, if I'm supplementing with 8,000 UI, and is set to that to record, it records it TWICE. I have 2 entries each day for 8,000, bringing my total to 16,000 daily, which is not accurate and has now thrown off the entire app. I can't change it, it does it after an uninstall and reinstall, and has rendered the app useless as far as accuracy of levels. Help!

Lauren C: Not user friendly After the initial walk through set up all I can say is "what?" There's a complicated image of where the sun is, I can add information but where does this app make recommendations? How much daily sun should I need based on all the information it asked me? I'd have thought this app might suggest optimal time of day and daily time period needed. Why else did it ask me for any info about me? If it is, it certainly is confusing!! So,... what???

Janice Durr: Love love love this app! Even tho I have one issue, I still rate it 5 stars. :-) Here's the issue: The day after my sun session out of town at a water park, I enter the date, time, skin exposure AND use the map to pinpoint where I was. After I saved it, I went back to history & clicked on the "i" to see the info, and it shows that I was in my home town instead of where I actually was. Before saving the session, it actually showed "Pigeon Forge, TN" but after I saved it, it said the session was in Clinton, TN. This makes me sad. :(

Katiejean Parsons: I'm waiting on my blood test this month to see just how accurate this is. I'm wondering why my level never seems to drop even when I've forgotten to take my supplements for over a week?

Bernice Tantiansu: Please add a backup feature Great app, but can be better by adding a backup to server or to SD card feature. It's frustrating to type in your history or losing everything when switching devices.

Abu Hatim: Very good but it forgets your weight I bought the upgrade for this nice software. It is very helpful, but every time you run the software it forgets your your weight and you need to enter it again. It uses the weight to estimate your current D vitamin level. I wish the software gives you the solar angle too..

Antonella Coiro: Great app to monitor vitamin D levels Awesome app!Does what it states & takes into account the MANY variables influencing your body's vitamin D production.I was at 5 ng/ml & am now at 27 ng/ml.Still a way to go,but optimising my sun exposure with this app is extremely helpful! In setup,I dont understand the "skin shade" setting (slide to your range of lightest to darkest?) so not sure I'm setting that part up properly.Does it stay fixed? As for coverage, would be great if there was a body pic & you could colour exposed skin areas for better estim

David Klompas: Pretty but lacking substance As much as I like the UI on this app, my final verdict is that it simply doesn't enhance my life in any way.

Nick Westgate: Great app, very handy It's great in the short term for checking how much D you're getting. But I do wish there was a way to tweak it to track better long-term.

My Thoughts: Saving the data, backup? Where are the data stored so I can save them and pass in another phone or when doing factory reset?

Tasha Wygal: Would really like this app if the slider worked on the timed solar session. But on my HTC eye the slider will not budge.

alison ryan: Oh dear, I thought this would be good by other reviews but all it would say was my next vit d opportunity was in 131 days. Sorry not for me.

Rebel Rebel: Hasn't worked promptly in very long time I have the paid upgrade, but new device, and this app still doesn't keep my history or even recognize that it's paid for. No support for saving history or porting history into new device, even if the devices are exactly the same.. a year's worth of data is completely lost. What a waste of time.

Karthik Swamiappan: Very useful It is a very useful app and gives important help to maintain your health.

Kusreni Hastuti: It's not the title Please make the light sensor active while sunbathing, so I can still continue sunbathing if cloudy

Lacour Lavanté: Good conxept bad Interface. Make it more pleasing to the eye, like for a 7th grader who likes science.

Lori Haisley: Love this app! Excellent way to track your vitamin d intake and production. Easy to use and I love the burn warning/turn over timer. Well done!

Deborah Kumar: Great app. Would be good to be able to pause and restart the timing.

Run Rabbit: Happy to change review Customer service very helpful and very fast to reply! Went from a 3 star to 5 stars! Love it

Susan G Chapman: App will not let me input info!,

hariballabh agrawal: Looking great I got to know about this app while browsing and fascinated by seeing details given in it.

Matt B: Best solution I have found

Andrew Scott: Love it Excellent app for tracking vitamin d

Emily Taylor: Love this app!

Brad Osler: Yeah It's awesome

Roger McCoy SR: Dminder is a fantastic tool. It helped me bring my D level from 40 to 90. I am challenged with cancer and this gives me a boost. The bonus is that I am not walking around pasty white. 😆 There is some difference of opinion on sun elevation on horizon for UVB rays. This site states a minimum of 30 degrees. The Mercola site recommends it be at 50 degrees. I appreciate the efforts of the Creator of this application. Thank you so much and God bless you.

David Veiga: Good app. Horrible backgrounds Please, lose those awful backgrounds. They make the info very hard to read and make the app look absolutely amateur. Also, the distorted blue sky picture makes me dizzy. At least give us the option to disable them or choose our own. Other than that, solid application. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

shalom shalom: Good App.Few bugs I have Sony Experia z 3 compact android 5.1.1 and I use the pro version. whenever I enter the app through the notification, the app icon or touch any button in the app while I am in the middle of tanning it shuts down the sunbathing session and erase the history of the current session. When the battery finishes and the telephone shuts down the same happens and the history of the tanning session is erased.

Steve Kruba: Terrific App! This is truly my favorite app. The calculations it does on sun angles, D3 absorption levels, sun burn warnings, etc., are not just amazing but extremely valuable. I've doubled my D3 blood levels from below normal to normal based on the good info from dminder.

Bewy Stark: Good Its a good app. Just a few more features that im waiting for which ive seen on the iphone version. Should be in the next few updates

Chris White: Fabulous app. A good tool to realize your vitamin D requirements.

Bronwyn Snyder: Looks like I accidentally deleted my review. But tapping the ongoing burn warning notification still doesn't clear it. I also sent two bug reports but didn't hear anything or have the changes, so maybe they didn't send, I don't know, but accusing me of shaming you because I posted a review about the notification issues, even though that's how most apps seem to do it and I'm just trying to be helpful so that I still keep the app and others keep it too, is extremely rude, unhelpful, and childish. Lowers my review of the app because that means that you can't provide feedback that isn't all positive (as most of mine was), so that means the app won't be responsive to its users. Certainly won't buy the full version now. Really disappointed with how feedback was taken. This app had such potential to be awesome.

Dianne McCann: Slider Fixed - thank you! Current version set time needed for 20k unit sun session at 1hr 20min at 2pm w 80% exposure. Prev version would have set time req at around 30min. Is this right?

Judy Knight: Helpful tool I love this app. But there is no place to add food in daily. Just sun and supplements. Please add. Thanks.

Kayla Amato: Very useful Has been extremely beneficial for maximizing my vitamin D intake
